I am really blessed, I have all 4 of my grandparents and we see them often. But I also have 5 great grandparents!

This is me with my great grandma Mary when she came to visit us in the hospital in May. I'm named after her. She is my dad's dad's mom:

These are my mom's grandma's. All 4 of her grandparents are still alive and living in the same homes where they raised my mom's parents ... pretty neat, ha?:

In honor of my actual due date, I took mom and dad out for pie and coffee tonight. OK, so they took me with them, and they enjoyed an hour of uninterrupted conversation ... well at least uninterupted by my big brothers and sister.

I guess nothing makes a mom feel better than having every waitress in the restaurant stop to "ooohhh and ahhh" over her baby. Seriously, from the door to our table we were stopped by 5 differnt women! Then our waitress just about went bonkers and had to bring over three different waitresses to see the "adorable teeny tiny baby"

I know mommy is very glad that she got to go out to Bakers Square tonight instead of still being pregnant :-) And I'm glad to almost be three weeks old!

I have always loved this hymn ... but Chris Tomlin's rendition has me captivated! I added this song to a list of 18 that I placed in a BirthMusic playlist on my ipod and took that to the hospital last when our baby Mary was born. Well, as it turns out, our little Mary was born to this song. As she entered this world and as we heard her first cry, we were listening to the chorus that goes "Here am I, all of me. Take my life, its all for Thee." I do pray that will be true of her life ... and mine ... lived all for THEE, Lord.

It was so beautiful here today we just had to get outside, and about 2 blocks from out house there was a small festival in a park ... This was Baby Mary's first real outing. And its a good thing mom took pictures because Mary will never remember she was there, slept the whole time we were there. :-)

This is Aunty Mary posting on behalf of Baby Mary and Mommy! Mary arrived at 10:15 am today! She is 6 lbs, 8 oz and is 19.5" long and has lots of dark, curly hair. Everything went fine with the delivery and there were no complications, but Mommy would appreciate prayers for her pain. The doctors are having a little trouble finding the right meds to make her comfortable. Here are some pictures of this little darling!

Not sure mom really appreciated the fact that I took her to the hospital for Mother's Day. But she started having contractions yesterday and by midnight we were headed to the hospital. Mommy got terbutaline and Visrterol, that made her feel funny but also stopped the contractions. I guess she wants to stay pregnant a little longer :-) We are home and resting now.

When my mom was 26 weeks pregnant, she saw a wonderful ultrasound of me. While she was waiting to see her Dr. after the ultrasound she picked up her bible and looked for something to read, here is the verse that God showed her:

What mom has really enjoyed are the times since then that this verse keeps popping up, like seeing it in her devotional reading the next week, a friend sending it to her, another friend posting it on a website she read ... pretty cool. God is so good!

Before I Was Born

These are pictures from before I was born. My ultrasound from March and what my Mama's belly looked like on her vacation to Hawaii in March. Just like me, her belly keeps getting bigger and bigger. My big brother Zeke told her the other day that she was not having a tiny baby, but a "big big monster baby" ... sounds funnier when he says it in his big monster voice.

I'm a lucky baby, I have 1 big sister and 3 big brothers:

We call them Rosebud, she is 12

Gus-Gus (or Gu-Gu-), he is 9

Mr. O (or Daddy's shadow, becuase
all he really wants to do is be Daddy), he is 6

Z-man, he is 2 1/2

They found out a few months ago that I am a girl ... I know that made my big sister pretty happy, not sure what my brothers really think.

They are pretty sure I'll be born the end of May. They know my name will be Mary ... they are still trying to pick another name to go with Mary ... guess we'll have to wait and see.
