In honor of my actual due date, I took mom and dad out for pie and coffee tonight. OK, so they took me with them, and they enjoyed an hour of uninterrupted conversation ... well at least uninterupted by my big brothers and sister.
I guess nothing makes a mom feel better than having every waitress in the restaurant stop to "ooohhh and ahhh" over her baby. Seriously, from the door to our table we were stopped by 5 differnt women! Then our waitress just about went bonkers and had to bring over three different waitresses to see the "adorable teeny tiny baby"
I know mommy is very glad that she got to go out to Bakers Square tonight instead of still being pregnant :-) And I'm glad to almost be three weeks old!
I have always loved this hymn ... but Chris Tomlin's rendition has me captivated! I added this song to a list of 18 that I placed in a BirthMusic playlist on my ipod and took that to the hospital last when our baby Mary was born. Well, as it turns out, our little Mary was born to this song. As she entered this world and as we heard her first cry, we were listening to the chorus that goes "Here am I, all of me. Take my life, its all for Thee." I do pray that will be true of her life ... and mine ... lived all for THEE, Lord.
Artist: Chris Tomlin Song: Take my life
Take my life and let it be consecrated Lord, to thee. Take my moments and my days, let them flow in ceaseless praise. Take my hands and let them move at the impulse of thy love. Take my feet and let them be swift and beautiful for thee.
Take my voice and let me sing always, only for my king. Take my lips and let them be filled with messages from thee. Take my silver and my gold not a might would I withhold. Take my intellect and use every power as you choose.
::Chorus:: Here am I, all of me. Take my life, it's all for thee.
Take my will and make it Thine it shall be no longer mine. Take my heart it is thine own; it shall be thy royal throne. Take my love, my Lord I pour at your feet its treasure store Take myself and I will be ever, only all for thee, Take myself and I will be ever, only all for thee.
Here am I, All of me. Take my life, It's all for thee. x3
(Take my life, Lord take my life. take all of me)
Here am I, All of me. Take my life, It's all for thee.

At 2 weeks and 2 days old I now weigh 6 lbs. 15 1/2 oz!!!! And my mommy is having way too much fun using the edit tools at www.photobucket.com
This is actually a photo of my big sister, taken at JCPenny's when she was just over 1 week old. Today we went to JCPenny's and had photos taken of me in the same outfit! Mom can't wait to get them back and put our photos on here side by side.
It was so beautiful here today we just had to get outside, and about 2 blocks from out house there was a small festival in a park ... This was Baby Mary's first real outing. And its a good thing mom took pictures because Mary will never remember she was there, slept the whole time we were there. :-)
Mary waiting to have her diaper changes ... YES in Daddy's truck
Mary spent almost the whole time at the park sleeping in mom's sling
Mommy and Mary
Most of our group waiting in line for pony rides
Zeke's turn to ride a pony and Gus's turn and Owen's turn
Then Owen wanted to give Mary her first ride on a swing ... but Mary slept right through that too
It happens so quick! One day they are born, so tiny and new ... we are priviledged to watch as they learn and they grow ... and one day we'll watch as they take flight all on their own. Its beautiful really, but it happens so quick. We want to cherish and remember and never forget the blessings we are living today. Some journal, some scrapbook, and some of us blog ... its all about cherishing the memories God gives us today.
Our family began taking photos of our baby girl everyday in 2008, hoping to watch and see as she grows. Being our 5th child we were worried we might miss something. Then we relized that if we put them all on a blog, our friends and family could watch her grow, too.
We did get a picture almost everyday for her first year. Enjoy her photos and stories here:
